What is group therapy?
Group therapy participants will:
- Address goals based on individual needs within the larger context of a group
- Engage in structured activities which target specific speech, language, or cognitive needs
- Work on therapeutic skills with other partners, enhancing the ability to carryover skills to new people and situations

Aphasia is a neurologically based disorder of language, which can impact an individual’s ability to comprehend or express themselves fluidly. The Aphasia Group offers strategies that improve participants' understanding and production of language. Group topics are based on current themes or events that are most relevant to group members.
