Still, for many neurodivergent adults, it can also bring sensory overload, social pressures, and changes in routine that make it difficult to navigate. As a speech-language pathologist working with neurodivergent adults, I’ve seen firsthand how this time of year can be exciting and overwhelming. With that in mind, I want to offer some practical tips for neurodivergent individuals and advice for their neurotypical family members, friends, and co-workers on understanding and supporting varying needs this holiday season.
