Devon Brunson, MS, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist who resides in the Charlotte, North Carolina metropolitan area. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in hearing and speech sciences from the University of Maryland - College Park (2012) and a Master of Science degree in speech-language pathology from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (2015). Devon possesses a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed as a practitioner in the states of Georgia and North Carolina. Prior clinical settings include community-based early intervention, school-based therapy, inpatient and outpatient therapy for children and adults.
Devon’s greatest passion is making everyday communicative experiences easier for teens and adults. Challenges with expression, comprehension, social engagement, and thinking can happen for various reasons. However, this should not impede individuals from engaging in home, community, or job-related activities. Devon’s role as a speech-language pathologist is to help improve communicative or cognitive abilities, in addition to aiding in exploration of strategies which can be used to support daily functioning and interactions with social partners. Her ultimate goal is to incorporate a holistic view of persons seeking therapeutic guidance so that they may work towards implementing functional tools which can be seamlessly incorporated throughout their day.
